Poor Pitiful Me

“Self-pity is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything wise in this world.” – Helen Keller

Accept life even when it hands you what you didn’t want & wouldn’t have asked for.

Swallow the fact that you have no control over anyone but yourself & your own reactions to what people do or don’t do. Expectations are the real heartbreaker. We have to let people be who they are & hope they do the same for us.

Strive instead to receive God’s love & acceptance for you ~ in all your imperfection, & then you can begin loving yourself, making better choices & walk in sweet, sweet freedom.

Preaching to myself.

Much love y’all,

Bonnie ❤️

  1. That’s so true. Most of us miss opportunities to make our dreams happen when life offers something unexpected. We neglect the offers. Trust me, life has its own ways to push us down. Because if it doesn’t, then everybody would be driving fat whips on the roads. Life is a beautiful monster. It doesn’t give offers but when it does, we should grab them all.
I liked the way you put your thoughts. Great.
    Live well.
