That Glorious Light

“For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:6–7

Oh how many times this Light has shone in the darkness for me –

How many times it has rescued me

And led me away from certain destruction.
We can be fooled so easily

Turned around while we’re sure-stepping in the right direction

And then find ourselves lost

Shell-shocked

Knocked flat & left for ruin.
Life has a way of doing that amidst all the joys and triumphs. Sometimes.

But. God.

Thank You Lord that You never leave us just lying there. You always shine Your glorious Light to lead us home. Thank You for not leaving us to ourselves for too long. Thank You for being such a good, good Father.

Thank You that there are no deceptions ever, ever found in You.

We praise You through it all.

In Jesus’ wonderful & Bright-shining name,

Amen.
Much love y’all,
Bonnie
