Freedom From The Lies Of Abuse

A tough subject but one I know many of us are acquainted with.
I had a vivid dream this morning that sparked this rambling. I felt strongly led to share…
I believe when someone is molested/abused as a child, it can start a long downward spiral of begging for approval. And using our bodies to do it. Believing that we are only worth what we can offer physically. Only having self-value in what we give away. Little pieces of our souls in slow-burn sacrifices. Like dirty rats on broken-down wheels that never ever go anywhere.
It is all a LIE.

This is the TRUTH:
Psalm 139:13-15:  For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Luke 12:6-7: Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Jeremiah 31:3: The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Psalm 139:17-18: How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I could count them they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.

Song of Solomon 6:3:  I am my Beloved’s, and He is mine.
We are not what has happened to us.

We are precious & valuable beyond our wildest imaginations.

We are not measured by what we can offer.

We. Are. Enough.

Hallelujah Lord.

I pray Lord right now for every soul that is reading this & it is hitting home. I pray for powerful ah-ha moments that awaken their tattered & tired souls & their broken hearts to Your truth about them. May they see themselves as You see them. As this truth unfolds Lord I pray You protect them from further damage. I pray for healing and restoration in all the empty places that are left from any abuse. I pray that all of the lies would be dispelled. I pray they would be set free!

In Jesus’ All-mighty & Overcoming name,
Amen
