Choose Joy

“Let’s not forget that it’s in the most difficult places where we derive our deepest life lessons. Even from hard spots beautiful things grow.
We can plan, prepare and put our best foot forward, but sometimes life just happens. Thankfully, bad days don’t have to dictate our response or the ultimate outcome. We get to choose. So my friends, choose joy!” ~Proverbs31.org

When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy. ~ Psalm 94:19

The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad. ~ Psalm 118:24

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. ~ 1 Peter 1:8-9

I delight greatly in the Lord;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. ~ Isaiah 61:10

You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand. ~ Psalm 16:11

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. ~ 2 Corinthians 12:10

It’s not easy to choose joy but oh, when we do…

Who here doesn’t want to spit in the enemy’s face?
Who here doesn’t want to shake off the dust from someone else’s unkind-ness or lack of compassion?
Both my hands are in the air – I don’t know about you.

Us flawed & imperfect humans are famous for our folly – but we do not have to harp on it. or continue to wield it.

We have a choice, every moment of every single day –
the choice of which master we will serve.

Rise above today with me and let’s choose JOY!!!
Some of us need it desperately!

Much love y’all,

Bonnie
