This morning I am a mix of grateful & heavy.
My friend I told y’all about last week is laying her Mom to rest today. I know of several in my circles who are struggling in other ways – I know you do too. Pain is pain. The holidays are a tough time for so many, especially much more if you add loss in the mix of it all. I am feeling the burden.
Where would we be without God to turn to, to lean on?
We all need something much bigger than us, to save us.
To lift us when we can’t.
To Love us through these things.
To be our strength when we are empty.
I am so grateful we have that.
All we have to do is believe & receive.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” -Matthew 5:4
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.” – 2 Corinthians 1:3
Thank you Lord for Who & What You are ~
For Your sovereignty & Your protection.
Help us to pay Your wisdom forward, imparting it to others as You free us.
Help us to stop hurting each other & start healing.
To comfort as we are comforted.
Forgive as we are forgiven.
Love as we are Loved.
May Your good triumph over evil all the days of our lives.
In Jesus’ Mighty Wonderful name we pray,
