The Tug-Of-War Of Control, Change, & Trusting God Through It All

“You cannot negotiate with a devil. Change what you can change and look for the breaking through of My intervention in those things that are beyond you that you cannot change.” – Father’s Heart Ministry
~~~
Amen. What a good word!
How many of us kick & push & pull & struggle & hem & haw over things we have absolutely NO control over? It is so futile. SO futile. It breaks our heart, wears us down & out. Makes us sick physically & mentally. The worst rat-on-a-wheel race ever.
Trusting God can be a cold, hard battle sometimes. Believing in His goodness & waiting for answered prayer vs. working our own abracadabra conjure-ings is just %$#@! tough. There is no other way to put it. We are an impatient race, us humans. I am Guilty Party #1.
When we begin to get our sea legs at trusting, it settles us. We start having more peace. One days flows nicely into the next, for the most part. If more life-stuff doesn’t get in the way.
It’s just better that way. To rely on Him. For the big & little things.
But we can all suck at it sometimes. And then we get back up & try, try again. And God is there. Faithful & ever-present.
I say it & say it, but it is 100% truth ~ He is so good to us, in spite of us.
Hallelujah Lord.
As we struggle back up, let’s pull others with us. We all need it. We need each other.
Much love y’all & much more trust in Who holds all the answers,
Bonnie
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.~ Proverbs 3:5-6
