Cries From The Muck & Mire & The Rescue That Follows

“I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the muck and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God” ~ Psalm 40:1-3
~~~
One of my favorite passages. Ever.
This is the epitome of what God has done for me.
To say I wouldn’t be here today without His intervention is a ginormous understatement.
I do not deserve His love, mercy & grace ~ I do not deserve how very good He has been to me. He never stops pursuing me. It makes no natural sense at all.
But I am oh-so-grateful, from my frazzled head all the way to & through to my toes.
Every day that I get to walk this earth ~ that I get to love & cry & laugh ~ to rejoice & mourn & say hallelujah ~ is nothing short of a miracle & a blessing.
Thank you Sweet Lord for being so good to me, in spite of me.
You are the air I breathe & the core of my being & in You alone I find my peace. The real kind.
Much love y’all ~ don’t ever stop crying out,
Bonnie
