We Are.

“My deepest awareness of myself is that I am deeply loved by Jesus Christ and I have done nothing to earn it or deserve it.”
― Brennan Manning, The Ragamuffin Gospel

I kneel into this truth today. Because sometimes standing on it takes more effort than I can muster.

Because some days it is all I truly can say with surety. Not that I don’t know I am loved by others ~ I know I am.

But what I mean is it’s the kind of love that gives me & does what no one else can.

It carries me, lifts me, heals me, restores what has been lost & ripped away, bonds to me in the nth degree of my core, forgives & gives mercy & wraps me in grace in ways mere humans cannot. Even though we try.

Much revelation that we are all truly deeply Loved by Love Himself,

    1 Corinthians 13
If I can talk like other men and like angels but I do not have ‘love,’ I am a resound gong or clanging cymbal – in other word’s – a loud noise maker. If I can tell the future or have the wisdom & logic to understand the world along with the faith to move mountains but do not have ‘love,’ I am nothing. If I do anything and everything spectacular in this world but, do not have ‘love’ then, I am nothing spectacular at all. How do I know this…?

    1 John 4 – God is love.
How can you love if you don’t know what it is and where it comes from. Love takes sacrifice and sacrifice scares people. But, once they understand the ‘perfect love,’ they know there is no punishment from the sacrifice made. There is no fear in that ‘perfect love.’ What’s the best way to sum this up in a tight, neatly wrapped package for everyone to simple understanding & get…?

John 3:16 – For God ‘SO’ loved the world that he gave his only begotten son…

The one of the most powerful 2 letter words in the English language is ‘so.’ It magnifies infinitesimally any word that it is used with, so much so, that it can’t be measured. God loves ‘so’ much that he sacrificed more than we ever can to pay a price we could never pay so we can love truly once we understand what was done for us.

Love is more than romantic, more than brotherly and more than desire. It is the unconditional gift giving by the grace, mercy & sacrifice of the giver.
