Capable Hands

God made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom and by His understanding and skill stretched out the heavens. Jeremiah 10:12

I read this passage & it just struck me – you know how that happens sometimes. Had this thought – He made the earth & the heavens – HE did – I mean, just try to fathom that one. Think on it for a moment. Wow…

Selah.

So how can we ever really doubt His ability to help us or someone we love – or think that somehow WE know what’s best? (we’ve all done it, come on now…) I know it’s because we are human.
And I myself am seriously human… Phew.

But it helps to ponder that our tangled balls of yarn are NOTHING for Him to undo and make straight..

The answers we seek WILL come to fruition if we just trust Him.
It probably-most-likely-with-certainty-I’m-pretty-sure won’t happen in the time frame we’d like to see it happen, but He knows best. He is the Father of all fathers after all.

Things don’t always turn out like we thought & the process, many times, takes turns we wouldn’t have chosen – but rest assured, it’s for the best.

Sometimes we don’t get what we want.
Sometimes we don’t win that lottery.
Sometimes someone says they will love & cherish & stay true, & they don’t.
Sometimes we have to say enough is enough & when we do, it feels like our guts are being ripped out through our nose.

And then something really strange happens – peace moves in where the chasm was that was left by whatever or whoever we lost. We taste a freedom we didn’t know we could have. It’s weird & liberating. Like a free-fall.
If you have been there, you know exactly what I mean.

And sometimes things that look irreparable, hopeless, no-way-that’s-ever-gonna-happen – they resurrect. They become new. They live. Again.

And if they don’t, God still promises all of it will work together.
For our good. The foolish sounding things that confound the wise.

We are safe, covered, counted & beloved.
Even when we feel the most fear, exposed, invisible & unlovable.
His ways are higher, better, sweeter. Than ours.

Keep reaching, keep hoping, keep dreaming y’all.
Because we really are in very, very capable hands.

Much love & trust where it belongs,

Bonnie
